Letter from the Providence Human Relations Commission Urging Passage of the Providence Community Safety Act

This writing sample is a letter that I drafted as the Director of the Providence Human Relations Commission. It was signed by sitting Commission members and submitted to the Providence City Council, urging rapid passage of the Community Safety Act (“CSA”). The CSA was a wide-ranging ordinance which, among other reforms, created a civilian-led police oversight board.
